Power Lunch

Power Lunch

Sharing meals is one of the most meaningful ways to get together. All lunches are power lunches, when you consider it. We find sustenance, a break from routine, and enjoy the delights of food in the company of others. These things are the essence of being human… part of the social tapestry… and the pleasures that come with the territory. From forever, humans have gathered for food intake. It is practical and efficient to cook for a gang. And the pleasure of dining in the company of others makes the food taste better. We humans are so simple in some ways, and in this simplicity we find our elegant solutions for managing all the complexities. The heart is the doorway.

Going for a Higher Perspective

Going for a Higher Perspective

It really helps to get above it all to see a wider perspective — wouldn’t you agree? Going for a higher perspective doesn’t have to entail finding your nearest mountaintop (although that’s  a delightful option every now and again). Looking for that higher perspective is an option that’s always available, no matter where you are, and you can find it in your heart. Why Ease, Balance, and Clarity?

Why Ease, Balance, and Clarity?

Ease is an approach to life. An attitude of Ease helps you maintain perspective and keep a sense of lightness about it.

Balance is poised equilibrium — an excellent state from which to greet the ups and downs of life as it changes and unfolds.

Clarity is that glorious sense of Oh! I see! — and the clear view is readily available when you’re feeling at ease and in balance.

Ease, Balance, and Clarity are the qualities I bring to my work with clients and projects. Whether our work together is life or work related, your confidence and enjoyment in the process, and satisfaction with the results, are enhanced with Ease, Balance, and Clarity.

EASE is a big topic, and for good reason

EASE is a big topic, and for good reason

Choosing an internal state of ease is a practical mode of self-care. I’ve been practicing ease for some years now, and working with my clients along these lines as well.

How do you practice ease?

First, notice how you’re feeling. Chances are you might notice a number of emotions of varying intensity in your present experience — take a look at these and see if you can identify them by name.

Next, ask yourself how you would rather feel. What pops “off the top” regarding your preference? Some common quick responses are:
- Better
- Happy
- Safe
- Financially Secure

Now, choose ease. Breathe it in and out through your heart and mind and body, while saying to yourself, “Right now, I choose ease.” This will help calm your system and make it easier to find the balance and clarity you need to be at your best in this current present moment — no matter what’s going on.
