EASE is a big topic, and for good reason

Choosing an internal state of ease is a practical mode of self-care. I’ve been practicing ease for some years now, and working with my clients along these lines as well.

How do you practice ease?

First, notice how you’re feeling. Chances are you might notice a number of emotions of varying intensity in your present experience — take a look at these and see if you can identify them by name.

Next, ask yourself how you would rather feel. What pops “off the top” regarding your preference? Some common quick responses are:
- Better
- Happy
- Safe
- Financially Secure

Now, choose ease. Breathe it in and out through your heart and mind and body, while saying to yourself, “Right now, I choose ease.” This will help calm your system and make it easier to find the balance and clarity you need to be at your best in this current present moment — no matter what’s going on.
